"Some things cannot be spoken or discovered until we have been stuck, incapacitated, or blown off course for awhile. Plain sailing is pleasant, but you are not going to explore many unknown realms that way."

ABOUT

I work with Adults and Adolescents in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.Central to my practice is the building of a supportive therapeutic environment that is warm, respectful, non-judgemental and confidential. I also understand how important it is to feel respected, deeply listened to and understood within one's unique history and context. My formal training was through the Cairnmillar Institute and I hold a Postgraduate Diploma of Counselling & Psychotherapy. My style of working is collaborative, process oriented and relational. I primarily work through a humanistic Person Centred framework incorporating Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Focusing Therapy. My work as a therapist has also been informed through my interest and appreciation of Analytical Psychology as well as my own personal Jungian analysis. Before training in Counselling & Psychotherapy I have worked across documentary, live arts, education, and arts facilitation with both young people and adults. I have come to understand that this background in the creative arts has served as a useful foundation for Counselling. I value letting a process emerge in it's own organic time and way, understanding curiosity and care to be central in a healing process. My work in the educational sector has also given me insights into the challenges and complexities many young people are navigating.I work with individuals aged 16+, and offer sessions in person, online and via Telehealth.
